It’s difficult to find a musical genre that would fully describe The Countrymen but Cornish Folk Rock Harmony is close.
Five seasoned musicians with tight four-part harmony vocals and a token Cornishman. With a relaxed and light-hearted presentation style we take the audience on a journey through the history and culture of Cornwall, featuring our own arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs, as well as an increasing amount of our own compositions. Interspersed with the occasional pop cover to lighten the mood when required, there is no mistaking that to a man, we love our county with a passion.

Comedy night at the Old Town Inn - hosted by our own inimitable Katie Playle and featuring Burt Williamson and Louise Leigh. Get ready to laugh your selves Scilly.
Louise Leigh is known for her warm storytelling, quick wit, and brilliantly relatable takes on modern family life. She’s a wordsmith living in an idiot’s body, blending upbeat energy and physical comedy with sharp, often off-kilter punchlines. Her comedy is life-affirming and resonates with all ages.
Bristol comedian and club favourite Burt Williamson is a comedy heavyweight in every sense of the word. Now in his seventh year of stand-up comedy, this a comedian coming into his prime. Densely worded shows and expertly delivered punchlines, Burt Williamson is at the forefront of a new and exciting generation of comics emerging from Bristol and changing British comedy for the better.
BENJI KIRKPATRICK

Prolific roots musician Benji Kirkpatrick is well known for being a founder member of big-band folk trailblazers Bellowhead and Faustus, with his "memorably aggressive" (MOJO) style.
Benji is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been performing solo for 25 years. Lauded releases such as Boomerang (2008), Hendrix Songs (2015) and Gold Has Worn Away (2019, with own band Benji Kirkpatrick & The Excess) have punctuated his work alongside others – Seth Lakeman, Steeleye Span, Faustus, and Oysterband
